10 Day Dexcom Rash Test

Day 1

I Started the Test on the 06/09/2020

Reciever

First day, I started to put the plaster on my skin but before I did, I sprayed it with 3M Cavilon Barrier Spray and used Hibiscrub daily to wash daily, see below for Item used.

After that, I waited for it to fully dry for around 10 minutes. And then put the 3M Tegaderm Plaster on the under my left arm. And made sure it was flat as possible and stuck to my skin before I inserted the Dexcom G6 Sensor over it. I did it right over the plaster and did not cut anything out on the plaster.

Day 2

On looking at it on Day 2, I saw no issues with it on me at all and no itching coming from it.

You cannot see if you have any infections until you remove your plasters at the end of the ten days, therefore, it's important if you start itching you could be getting infected!

I have also done a chart below with extra details on things that might affect the plaster from coming off.

I tested each different plaster on my skin over a period, so I know that I would not be getting any rashes from them.

Days 4,7,10

On these days I was checking to see if the showers and washes and sweating from exercise what it was doing to the plasters. I had Dexcom’s Over patch  at hand if I needed to use onto it if the plasters where coming lose.

I found no issues to be concerned about.

Sensor Removal

I used a product called Sensi Care sting Free skin Barrier, which is not really supposed to be used to remove it but it workes with me, but then I started to use the proper version and works even better. This is called Sensi Care Sting Free Adhesive Releaser

After the removal it's quite normal for it to be a little red from the wiping, but as you can see I got no reactions at all and I'm very pleased with the results so far. My skin was a little dry but no rash as all and no itching from the adhesive.

Good Results for me   Rash I got!
Good Results for me                                                                 The rash I got before!

I really do feel this needs to be changed on behalf of Dexcom. Please spare 5 minutes of your time to sign the Petition!  Thank you
